The Friends of Gravenhurst School is a charitable group that consist of parents and friends of the school who raise money for extra's for the children of our Academy.
They raise money through events that take place throughout year which you can see advertised in our diary.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS/GRANDPARENTS – WE NEED YOUR HELP!
In order to provide all the extras bits for your children and the school the FROGS committee needs a minimum number of parents to be committee members – especially as both children and parents move onto new things when the children leave the school.
This means we have an annual turnover of committee members and need more in order to keep it going. FROGS raise funds for lots of items for the school including books, furniture, playground equipment etc and also costs for school trips such as the school panto which would otherwise be a cost to parents.
We meet approximately once a month for a couple of hours either at the school, pub or someone's home - depending on the activities we have planned and the amount of time needed to organise it and are always keen to hear new ideas for fundraising events that both parents and children can take part in.
If you would like to come along please feel free to turn up to any of the meetings advertised on the FROGS noticeboard or the A board by the school gates.
Chairperson: Mr A Gage
Deputy Chair Mrs H Battersby
Secretary: Mrs A Howard
Treasurer: Mrs C Finch
The committee can be contacted through the school, emails and phone calls will be passed on to the committee.
